Welcome to Day 25 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas
and Merry Christmas!

Today's gift comes from the leader of the Artful*Inkers, Donna Henley.  Donna made this beautiful tag set.  There is a neat vintage look to these tags and they will look awesome on any gift.  You may notice a glimmer of gold coming from the folded tag...more chocolate!

I hope you have enjoyed all the awesome gift the Artful*Inkers created during this Countdown to Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 24

Welcome to Day 24 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Ruth Hill.  It was difficult to get the
photo to show all the dimension of this cute little magnet.
Ruth used a round container, attached a piece of magnet
to the bottom, then used different stamped images and some
Mica Flakes to create a cute little winter scene.  To top it off,
there were two Lindor chocolates...notice I said were?  They
were gobbled up before I typed up this post...hee hee!

Come back tomorrow for one final gift from the
Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

Today's gift comes from Vanessa Manklow.  Oh my goodness,
this little Santa is so cute!  Vanessa made the base of the Santa
using the Petal Cone Die and the beard was made using the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder.  The bottom of the box
folds closed, perfect to tuck a little treat inside.

and our Red Glimmer Paper.  There was also an always useful
lip balm inside.  So cute!

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 20

Welcome to Day 20 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Robbyn Sorli.  This is such a
cute little gift card holder, I just love it!

I haven't quite figured out how Robbyn put this one together.
Robbyn used the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set and
Holiday Ornaments Framelits Set to make the cute little
ornament on the front.  Robbyn also used the Snow Burst
Embossing Folder, which I just love and was saddened when it retired.  It is however currently available on our Clearance Rack.

Check back tomorrow for another gift from the
Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Kirsha Macleod-Fitzgerald.  Kirsha
made a cute tissue cover from our Deck the Halls Fabric -
now on our Clearance Rack.  The cute tag is made using our
MDS2 digital program and clipped on with a Mini Clothespin -
also on our Clearance Rack.

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 18

Welcome to Day 18 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift was created by me!  I used the Candy Wrapper Die to make this treat box.  We had to make 15 of each gift this year.  I did not have enough DSP to make them all the same colour, so I made half using Wild Wasabi and the other half using Riding Hood Red.

You may have noticed the Candy Wrapper is longer than normal.  I saw a great video by Kay Kalthoff on how to extend the Candy Wrapper so you can fit a full size chocolate bar inside.  I found the punch art for the cute little elf on Pinterest and thought it would
be the perfect addition to the Candy Wrapper.

Check back tomorrow for more gifts from the
Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 17

Welcome to Day 17 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Janessa Bott.  Janessa has two beautiful
little girls and I am sure they were the inspiration for this cute little headband made from our Essentials Designer Fabric.  What is
really neat is that if you don't have daughters and headbands
aren't your thing, you can use it as a bookmark!

Check back tomorrow for another gift from the
Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 16

Welcome to Day 16 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Dusty Weber.  I was excited when I opened today's gift as I have seen these cute little chocolate bar wrappers on Pinterest and hope to make them someday.  Now that I have seen them in person I am for sure going to make some for gifts but
probably not until next year.

Check back tomorrow for another gift from the
Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 14

Welcome to Day 14 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

snowman hot chocolate treat box cute?  Sandra used our
Fancy Favor Die to make the box and the Candy Cane Christmas
Fabric - which you can find on the updated Clearance Rack for just
$1.19 - to make the cute little scarf.  Inside is a package of hot
chocolate, a peppermint stick and two Hershey's Kisses.

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 13

Welcome to Day 13 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Tania Green.  Tania filled two spots in our countdown this year and came up with this cute treat for all of us.  Tania filled our 1"x 8" Cellophane Bags with red and green jelly beans...jelly beans, mmmm, my favorite!...then made a cute
reindeer topper using the retired Stocking Punch, retired
Snowflake Punch and the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch.

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 12

Welcome to Day 12 of the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Today's gift comes from Diane Hilborn.
This is the cute bag our gift came in.

Diane used our handy Kraft Gift Boxes
to make this super cute Countdown to Christmas!

When you lift the lid there is a pocket to display a card with
how many days until Christmas.  Diane used the very colourful
Be of Good Cheer DSP and the 25 & Counting Stamp Set to
make the countdown cards.  I think I may add the cards for the
first 11 days of the month for next year.

Check back tomorrow for the next gift from the

Welcome back to the Artful*Inkers Countdown to Chirstmas!

Today's gift comes from Tania Green.  I just love this decoration and put it on my front door as soon as I opened it.  I will have to find out how to make those "stars" as they make a very beautiful 3D ornament.

Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas - Day 10

The Artful*Inkers team has organized a Countdown to Christmas
again this year.  This is the first time I have participated and it has been quite fun so far.  We have 16 participants so we started
today and will have one gift to open each day until Christmas!

Today's gift comes from Dion Pacheco.  These Pentel RSVP pens are popular in crafting circles because you can take them apart and add some decorative detail as Dion has done here.  She added Silver Glass Glitter (item 120995) to the ink tube to create this sparkly pen.

Check back tomorrow for the next gift from the
Artful*Inkers Countdown to Christmas.

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

Welcome to stop 11 of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop for November.  If you are hopping in order, you have just come from Kim's Blog.  If this is your first stop on the hop, no worries; all the blogs are looped together so you wont' miss a thing.

The theme for this month is Thanksgiving or Gratitude.  As a Canadian I celebrated Thanksgiving in October so I opted for
a fall themed thank you card.

I used the card sketch from Fab Friday Stampin Challenge as well as from the fall wreath I created.

I saw Jael's photo of this wreath on Stampin' Connection, our Demonstrator only website, and knew I had to make one.  It follows the same premise as the Christmas Ornament I posted on Tuesday but uses the Autumn Accents Die to created all those leaves.

Stamps:  Day of Gratitude, French Foliage and Woodgrain
Inks:  Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry,
Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango
Papers:  Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie,
Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Big Shot, Autumn Accents Die, Floral
Frames Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, 2-1/2"
Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Bird Builder Punch,
Linen Thread, Antique Brads

That's it for me for this round.  I hope you have enjoyed this stop and now it's time to hop on over to Terry's Goin' Over the Edge Blog.

The New Stampin' Trimmer Is Here and It Is AWESOME!!!

The wait is over!  Our new and improved Stampin' Trimmer is here and it is flying off the shelves!  This trimmer was designed exclusively by paper crafters for paper crafters and because it was made by Stampin' Up!, you know it is a cut above the rest!

Watch the video:  Introducing the Stampin' Trimmer

Features of the All-New Stampin' Trimmer
  • An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
    • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements.
    • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
    • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.
    • When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
    • The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch.
    • All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
    • The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
  • A full 12" cutting and scoring track
    • The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them.
    • The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 12" (30.5 cm) without having to remove or switch out handles.
    • The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport.
    • The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.
  • Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
    • The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
    • Handles come in two colors: dark for cutting, light for scoring.
    • The precision tip on the cutting blade allows you to pinpoint precisely where you're cutting.
    • The point on the side of each handle shows you where the blade will cut, making it easy to see exactly where your cuts and scores will begin.
  • Storage compartment under base
    • The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades, and even business cards.
    • Separate compartments within the storage compartment keep your tools organized, and the clear cover makes it easy to see what you've stored.

A Wedding Card from Pinterest

My cousin's daughter got married about a month ago and
I found a really great card on Pinterest.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the wedding and I did not know what the brides colours were so when I saw this card I knew it would be perfect.  I love that the card is all white with texture and ribbon and bling for interest.  The original card added pearls instead of rhinestones but I thought the bride was more of a rhinestone kind of girl!

Stamps:  Word Play
Inks:  Black StazOn
Papers:  Whisper White Card Stock
Accessories:  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder,
2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch,
Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

Freshly Made Sketches - Ornamental Keepsakes

I tried my hand at the Rita's sketch over at

There is a great little paper pack in the 2012 Holiday Catalogue called Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  It has 48 sheets of 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" paper with some great patterns and
colour combinations.

I used the Island Indigo pattern as the first layer of my card.  The 2012 Holiday Catalogue also has a great set, Ornament Keepsakes, which has matching Framelits to cut out each shape.  Even better is that Stampin' Up! has bundled the two items to save you 15% off the purchase price!

Stamps:  Ornamental Keepsakes and Pennant Parade

My project today is a Witches Hat!

I used the Petal Cone Die and the Spider Web Embossing Folder for the top part of the hat and the Scallop Circle Die for the base of the hat.  I only stuck one of the flaps to the base so the hat can be tipped open to retrieve the treat inside.

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Gently Falling

Welcome to stop 12 of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad's Blog Hop for September!  If you are hopping in order you have just come from Kim's Blog.  If this is your first stop on the hop, no worries; all the blogs are looped together so you won't miss a thing.

This month we were to make a card and a 3D item with a Fall
or Back to School theme. This also works with the challenge over at The Paper Players.

I think the Gently Falling stamp set is so pretty and after looking around the internet for some inspiration I decided to colour the leaves using my Aqua Painter.  I then cut them out by hand and arranged them so they looked like a pile of leaves.

Stamps:  Gently Falling, Pursuit of Happiness and Woodgrain
Inks:  Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango
Papers:  Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red and Watercolor Paper
Accessories:  Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits, Aqua Painters and Paper Snips.

Okay, I don't really do 3D projects.  Not because I don't like to, just haven't gotten that far!  I have been thinking about this for days and finally I remembered something I saw on Pinterest.

Stampin' Up! uses this awesome brown paper to fill up the empty space in the box when they ship out orders.  Sometimes there is a lot of brown paper!  Anyway, I found this really neat project to make fire starters and it allows you to recycle a few different materials.  You take an empty toilet paper roll, stuff it with the lint from your dryer (so cool) and wrap with brown paper, tying each end with baker's twine!
I used a piece of brown paper 8" x 10" and stamped the leaves before I wrapped the toilet paper roll.  I think a basket of those would make an awesome gift!

Stamps:  Gently Falling
Inks:  Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze and More Mustard
Accessories:  Early Espresso Baker's Twine

That's it for me this time.  I hope you have enjoyed this stop and now it is time to hop on over to Shellie's Creative Eclectica Blog.

Blog Hop Coming This Thursday!

I am very excited (and a little bit nervous) to be participating
in my very first blog hop this coming Thursday.

On the first Thursday of each month a group of very talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators post a card and a 3D project on our blogs.  We provide links to all the other participants of the Hop.  As you can see, this months theme is Fall/Back to School.

Be sure to come back this Thursday, September 6th after 7am to see what I and 12 of my fellow Demonstrators have to share with you!!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

Fab Friday - Christmas Lodge

Mindy Backes and her awesome design team kicked off the

Here's the fun sketch for the very first challenge:

and here is my take on it...

I just luuuv the Christmas Lodge stamp set!  After stamping the image it seemed to be missing something...too much white er should I say vanilla space in the top corners.  One of the more low cost ways to add that little something to a project is paper piercing.  I think those little areas finish that part of the card quite nicely.

Stamps:  Christmas Lodge and Open Sleigh
Inks:  Soft Suede Classic Ink
Papers:  Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla
Card Stock and Festival of Prints DSP Stack
Accessories:  Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat,
Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Dotted Scallop Ribbon
Border Punch, Antique Brads
