I am part of a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators
known as the Artful*Inkers, lead by Donna Henley.
At the beginning of the year Donna decided to
create a weekly challenge for our group and
this week's challenge is to create a project that has
a lot of white space....think simple, not a lot of "stuff",
minimal layers, minimal embellishments......you get the idea.
You would think a simple card would be, well, simple right?
Not for the brain in my head, that's for sure!
I absolutely love, love, love the Mixed Bunch stamp set,
this image in particular, but would you believe
that it took me forever to come up with this?
I am so used to a card being so much "more" that I
guess I forgot how lovely a "simple" card can be.
My favorite colour is purple and I am really liking
the way this card turned out. I guess I will have to try the
less is more approach to card making more often.
Stamps: Mixed Bunch and You're Cherished
Inks: Perfect Plum Classic Ink
Papers: Perfect Plum and Whisper White Card Stock
Accessories: Blossom Punch
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
I agree with you about how lovely a simple card can be - this is really elegant - and yes, I "get it" that it could take forever to come together! I think sometimes that it's much harder being minimalist. Really nice card!
