Freshly Made Sketches #32 - Bordering on Romance

It is time for another card challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.
Linda Callahan is the hostess this week and
I just love her sketch this week!

I was thrilled when I saw this sketch as I knew right away
what I wanted to do!

I kept my card pretty true to Linda's sketch as I usually do.  I knew I wanted to use the flower from Bordering on Romance and the Paper Doily Sizzlit Die, both from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalogue (which expires on April 30, 2012!!)  I ran my die through the Big Shot and carefully poked out all the little bits.  It is a little bit of extra time that is so worth it for the result you get!  The die cut was bigger than I thought, so out came my paper snips and off came the outer ring of the doily.  Perfect.  Then I realized that the image I wanted to use would not fit in the inner circle of the die, so I just wiped off the ink from one flower section and tah-dah my circle fit!
I am just tickled with how this card turned out and impressed with how much time it did NOT take me to get it made!

  7. Very clever and very pretty card! I usually make typos on purpose if it makes an interesting new word(or so I tell people). I got a kick out of how you said you were ticked, but you meant you were tickled! You might want to fix it, or not - I love how one little letter completely, I mean completely, changes the meaning of a word! Have a great weekend and TFS!
