For Mom

I saw a video on Pinterest for a double pocket card and after following the link found it was by none other than Patty Bennett and I pretty much copied it exactly for my Mom's Mother's Day card!

This is what it looks like when she opens the card.

This shows what the card looks like without the bookmarks.

These are the two bookmarks I made using the Two Tags Die.

Freshly Made Sketches #34 - Betsy's Bloom

It's time for another challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches and Lesley Croghan is the hostess this week.

I used each of the new 2012-2014 In Colors on this
card along with a Sneak Peak stamp set from the
new 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue for this sketch.

The first layer (with the rhinestones) is Raspberry Ripple and for the next layer I used Primrose Petals to create my own DSP.  The layer at the bottom and the bird use Midnight Muse, that awesome flower stamp uses Summer Starfruit and last but not least our new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon is Gumball Green.

Stamps:  Betsy's Bloom, Fabulous Phrases
Inks:  Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and
Summer Starfruit Classic Inks
Paper:  Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and
Whisper White Card Stock
Accessories:  2-1/2" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch and Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon,  Basic Jewels Rhinestones

April Diva Day Swaps

Our awesome leader, Donna Henley, of the Artful*Inkers held a
Diva Day.  This was Donna's way of spoiling her team
with some awesome projects.
As at most team events, those attending the event could opt to participate in a swap.  Diane Hilborn was our swap leader and called on use to use a retiring stamp set for our swap.

This is the card I made for the swap.  I must thank Diane for taking this photo as I forgot to take one!  I decided to use some retiring DSP and ribbon on this card as well.

Stamps:  Crazy for Cupcakes (retiring)
Inks:  Soft Suede Classic Ink, Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Marker,
So Saffron and Wild Wasabi Watercolor Wonder Crayons
Paper:  Naturals White and Peach Parfait Card Stock and
Just Add Cake DSP
